Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect your personal information.

Essence Trading International Pty Ltd (ACN 632 459 548, ABN 83 632 459 548), trading as Sydney Yachting (“Sydney Yachting”, “we”, “us”), helps you find and book the right charter on Sydney Harbour. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with and how you can access or correct it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

  • Contact details: your name, email address and phone number.
  • Charter details: your occasion, preferred date, group size, budget, the boats you’re interested in and anything else you tell us.
  • Booking details: when you go ahead with a charter, the information needed to confirm and invoice it. Card payments are handled by our payment provider, and we don’t store your card details.
  • Website information: like most websites, we collect technical information such as your device, browser, the pages you visit and how you found us, using cookies and similar tools.

We don’t ask for sensitive information. If you tell us about something like a dietary or accessibility need, we use it only to plan your charter.

How we collect it

Directly from you, when you use our enquiry form or boat match questionnaire, or contact us by email, phone or message. Some information is collected automatically when you use our website.

How we use it

  • To recommend boats and prepare quotes.
  • To check availability and arrange your charter with the boat’s operator.
  • To reply to your questions and follow up on your enquiry.
  • To manage bookings, invoices and our business records.
  • To improve our website and service.
  • With your consent, to send occasional news or offers. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We never sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

  • The charter operator and crew. The boat’s owner or operator needs details such as your name, date, group size and requirements to check availability, confirm your booking and run your charter.
  • Service providers who help us run our business, such as our customer management system (HubSpot), website and booking tool hosts (Framer and Render), and our email and payment providers. They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
  • Anyone we are required to share it with by law.
